Hello, my name is Jackson Kosztala, Owner and Broker of Benning Realty. It is my honor and privilege to serve the Chattahoochee Valley in full service residential property management and residential real estate sales needs. I look forward to working with you to accomplish your real estate and investing goals.
My Story
I initially came to Columbus by way of the military. I attended the Maneuver Captains Career Course at Fort Moore (formerly Fort Benning) and then served as a Company Commander for Infantry Initial Entry Training at Sand Hill. After nearly 8 years of service, and many PCS (permanent change of station) trips around the country, like many veterans in the surrounding community, I made the decision to call Columbus my permanent home.
I love Columbus and the amazing community I’ve established here with my family. As a real estate professional I use the operational training and expertise I accumulated throughout my military career to better serve the needs of investors, homeowners, and tenants.
What got me into property management?
As an initial assignment in the military, I was stationed at Fort Riley, KS and purchased a home using the VA loan program. When I later PCS’d, I felt very lost on how to procure a tenant, who I would rely on to fix any maintenance issues that would arise, and all the intricacies that come along with renting out a property. I had a friend rent the house for a few months but when he moved away I was left with the daunting task of getting my house rented out.
It wasn’t until I hired a professional management company that I understood the value of a quality property manager. The management company gave an accurate scope of work estimate to make repairs and get the house rent ready along with accurate rental comparisons. They screened tenants and within several weeks my house was occupied. The relief I got from being 1,000 miles away from this house and the peace of mind knowing I had an advocate on my behalf made the renting experience run smoothly.
This would ultimately launch my career in real estate as a Broker and continued investor. That interaction and sequence of events of gaining peace of mind is what drives me to help homeowners, landlords, and tenants to achieve the best outcome for their real estate and investing needs.
